There’s nothing quite as good as a moment like this. Allowing myself the opportunity to just soak in the blessings that I have makes me feel grateful to be alive.
Week one of training ended on a high note, giving me and my fellow peers a chance to work on our classroom management plans within our classroom. Though things were pretty productive for the most part, the classroom will still need to be “decorated”, and hopefully painted by the time school starts.

I got the opportunity to grab some drinks with coworkers at Fat Boy Burgers just down the block. Just talking to them and enjoying the moment makes me realize that this is probably going to be a great year (at least in terms of getting along with my coworkers). I did however have to depart and rush back to Orange County for some delicious KBBQ with my wonderful Fairmont coworkers. It clearly shows the priorities I have at the present moment, although I imagine I’d get closer to the staff at Bright Stars as the year progresses.
We laughed, and cheered over some appropriate and not-so-appropriate conversations.

Afterwards we had a small kickback at a friend’s place where we discussed various topics from relationships to spooning. Chillaxing. I will be sad to see some of these peeps leave (to wherever life takes them), but I hope to maintain contact with a majority of them.

A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Some people search forever for that one special kiss
Oh, I can’t believe it’s happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
