Day 157: Come Sail Away

Thank you to those who sacrificed their lives in D-Day to defend freedom all over the world. Going on their boats, they helped protect the future dreams of all of us living in this world.

And here I am, having sailed away from Vegas, to face the new life that’s ahead of me. I will take what I have learned and use it to become a better teacher (and person) next year.

I watched High School Musical 1 and 2 with my nieces. It was as cheesy as I had remembered. After going home, playing PS4 and taking a long nap, I celebrated by going to the OC Night Market, a mostly Asian food festival later that day.

Later we went to Confetti for ice cream afterwards. It was delicious!

I’m sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
Cause I’ve got to be free, free to face the life that’s ahead of me
On board, I’m the captain, so climb aboard
We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore
And I’ll try, oh Lord, I’ll try (oh Lord, I’ll try) to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Let’s come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
