Day 110: Nobody’s Perfect

I jammed this song on the speakers as students were completing their “gallery walk” examining various New Deal programs. Surprisingly enough they seemed to enjoy the song even though I was using it as a punishment. I guess it makes sense coinciding with their childhood and all.

Like FDR, my students make many mistakes. Sometimes it takes some positive redirection to pinpoint them to success.

I’ve been watching Kitchen Nightmares lately, but it’s literally the same crap every episode: Restaurant food sucks, owner sucks, everybody makes mistakes, Ramsay fixes them, happy ending. Or so they think: About 60% of the restaurants fail after Ramsay leaves, which goes to show you can’t fix everything.

32 school days left! With my sick days, I really only have 26 left.

Nobody’s Perfect!
I gotta work it!
Again and again ’til I get it right
Nobody’s Perfect!
You live and you learn it!
And if I mess it up sometimes…
Nobody’s perfect
