Glee ended tonight. With its ending comes of course the end of 6 years worth of memories. I’ll be honest in admitting the quality of the show has gone down from the peak of its’ first season, specifically the first 13 episodes. However, there were just enough good moments in between then and now to warrant my continued watch of it.
The pilot premiered my freshman year of college after American Idol. I remember watching it with a very select group of individuals across the suite from mine (Suite 408). As soon as they performed Don’t Stop Believing I was addicted.

Sophomore year at UCSD meant weekly Glee viewing parties, the first of which had an amazing 25-30 people show up!
The tradition continued Junior year on campus with less people showing up as the show deteriorated.
Despite being off campus Senior Year, I still had a loyal bunch of 3-8 people show up weekly to watch it.
By the time I went back home to Garden Grove, the Glee viewing parties died, and I know very few people who still watch today. However, I remain committed till the end, and tonight’s episodes did not disappoint.
Here’s some stats on that:
In the 6 years since the pilot and now, I lived. In the 6 years since the pilot and now, the characters have lived. In the future, I will cherish the memories the show has brought me and will forever be grateful for the show that continues to inspire my love of music, and of course this project. Though the show is over, I will continue living and cherishing all the memories (and anti-lessons) it has taught me.
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places, the things that I did
With every broken bone, I swear I lived
