Sometimes being grounded in reality is a good thing. Sometimes failure is a necessary part of life, signaling the necessary changes one must make in one’s life to improve oneself. It’s not necessarily “losing” in life that is a problem, it’s the ramifications of doing so. If one channels their energy into something positive as a result, things are likely to turn out better in the long run.

Rejection is a part of growing up, whether it be from somebody you really care about, or a job or position you’re really vying for. And though I have a shortlist I can name in the back of my head of my past rejections (RA, Kesem, TFA, etc.), I have successfully persevered on to the point where I channel that energy into another direction. Sometimes life points you a certain direction, but fate pulls you somewhere else – and wherever that takes me, it’ll be one step forward into my new future.
