Every single day, we are exposed to a variety of colors. Through the sheer amount of duties we all encounter and attend to, we are unable to stop for a moment and recognize that the colors around us tend to signify something – and subsequently elicit an emotion of some sort. This post will attempt to rectify what each color represents in the world from my personal perspective.

BLACK: To me, the color of pure darkness represents a pure state of emotional depression (aka emoness). I have felt different layers of emoness stemming from various rejections in high school, as well as a post-breakup mentality. I have provided a picture of me looking rather sad at the 2007 Aids Walk, where I ultimately failed in talking to my crush at the time.

WHITE: Whiteness represents a state of purity and innocence. Though I still possess some of those prominent features in contrast to various sluts in the world, my purest state was perhaps in Middle School – where, as everyone else was both overly hormonal and getting into relationships, I was still too afraid to talk to girls. Provided below is a picture of me looking rather nerdy at my house in Middle School.

RED: Red strikes me a color of pure confidence. The communists were particularly proud of their combination of red and yellow, signifying strength in their subsequent countries (strength that didn’t last). I see confidence in the form of leadership, and have provided a picture of me heading the M.S. Walk during my time as V.O.C. president in the 2007-2008 Rancho school year.

BLUE: I see blue as the color of youth. It has been for the most part my favorite color since I was a kid, and I’m sure it’s due to its physical attractiveness. For some reason society denotes blue with sadness, while I see it as the color of being young – the color of being free, and the color of being yourself. I have provided an appropriate picture below (Pre-school status).

GREEN: I see green as the color denoting growth. As trees, grass, and nature grow in this color as they age, so too do people. As I taught film and math in the Summer of 2011, I felt a sense of growth and maturity in my life. Subsequently below is a picture of me with the kids that I developed close bonds with.

YELLOW: I denote yellow with happiness. Being such a bright color it signifies in my heart a state of pure joy. I have only felt that way a few times in my life – the day I got with Sophie/Geetha, among other times including below: when I won Winter Formal King. Having that intense feeling of being loved, and being around all my friends only helped to increase my self-esteem to the state that it is in today.

PURPLE: I relate purple to being in a luxurious state. Though I grew up very poor with my parents, I still see my life as more luxurious than the lives of starving kids in other countries (including Africa). That’s why when I see people in the United States complain they can’t have anything (because they’re in one of the lower classes), I just shake my head at them in disgust. The only thing at this point I spend my money on is pretty much food. I see luxury being the ability to move around, and perhaps even visit places you’ve never been to before, providing my adventures in Hollywood with my sisters below.

BROWN: Brown marks nostalgia in my book. I always look back at the past, as we all do, and tend to look at things in a much brighter light. In contrast to the day that is today, the past always looks better – because there’s something there we no longer have – in this case the freshman year bonds I made with Suite 400. <24

PINK: I see pink as the color of love – but not only in the sense of “relationship” love, but the love between friends, the love between families, and the love we should all have for EVERYONE in the world. The U.S. foreign policy we currently have as heightened by Bush Jr., and further heightened by Obama doesn’t take into account that civilians of other countries are our neighbors and what we do to them creates a chain of blowback that will ultimately destroy love forever. I have provided a picture of a heart with a 24 in the middle signifying my love for all my friends and families.

ORANGE: I see orange as the color of determination in attaining one’s future. I see orange as a signifier for me finally achieving my dreams. Though I currently do not know what that dream might be, I focus on present goals for success. Subsequently I have provided a picture of me with a Ron Paul 2012 banner, showing my determination in getting Ron Paul the presidency. If he fails, there’s always hope for a Rand Paul 2016 campaign, which I will most definitely be a part of.

Thoughts? Obviously this remains merely a subjective post based on my thoughts and opinions, so you’re entitled to your own. šŸ™‚ . Vote now for your favorite color.
