After nearly half a year of living off campus, I have learned that public transportation via buses (both city shuttles and campus shuttles) is an oppressing ordeal. If I had to choose though between the two primary modes of transportation, I’d have to make the basis of my judgment on several key factors: 1) Comfort 2) Speed of Engines 3) Speed of Journey 4) Convenience 5) Drop-Off Location
1.] Comfort
In terms of where I would rather be, it’d probably be the 201/202. Whenever I have to stand on the Arriba/Nobel, the drivers are terrible, and the bus itself is extremely uncomfortable. The rocking back and forth and the lack of some drivers to brake properly makes my trip extremely uncomfortable. Not to mention the fact that the 201/202 bus design is much more attractive than the Arriba/Nobel (if I had to make a choice).
201/202: +1
Arriba/Nobel: 0
2.] Speed of Engines
The 201/202 has better engines than the Arriba/Nobel and subsequently runs faster.
201/202: +2
Arriba/Nobel: 0
3.] Speed of Journey
It’s hard to necessarily say which journey is ultimately faster. I would say in taking the Arriba or Nobel separately, their journey is faster than the 201/202. The combined route of the Arriba/Nobel though is so subjugating that it nearly makes the 201/202 more desirable at times.
201/202: 2
Arriba/Nobel: +1
4.] Convenience
In the mornings, the Arriba/Nobel come every five minutes, while the 201/202 come every ten minutes. The Arriba/Nobel also runs till midnight on weeknights, making me very happy to give them 2 points in this category. The 201/202 though run on the weekends, which provide me the ability by which to migrate to campus on the weekends (though I have no reason to….)
202/201: +3
Arriba/Nobel: +3
5.] Drop-Off Location
This brings me to my final point by which to base my judgment on (though it’s definitely subjective). I personally believe the 201/202 stop is better than the Mandeville stop of Arriba/Nobel. It’s closer to my classes, it’s at a more ideal location (not uphill), and it’s a much happier location on campus.
202/201: + 4
Arriba/Nobel: 3
What do you think?

you are so weird lol
I prefer the Arriba/Nobel because being the last stop, it takes me straight to school Also, as a science major, Mandeville is closest to MY classes. However, I wish the Arriba took me to LJ Village Square ):
201/202 always seem to take longer to arrive than the Arriba/Nobel. Usually 3 arribas pass before I even see a 202 bus to take to school. Not to mention my apartment is right next to arriba and nobel stop so I can take either one back which is pretty convenient at times
Change of Heart. 201/202 takes MUUUCH longer to arrive, increasing the chances of you getting
1. raped
2. molested
3. harassed
4. robbed
5. shot
6. being turned into a Ron Paul supporter.
Therefore, shorter waiting = better which is why arriba/nobel > 201/202
