Sluts vs. Teases

There are two distinctive type of characters preeminent in the society we live in. In contrast to normal people like probably me and you, there are sluts and teases. Though one engages him or herself in promiscuous activity, the other engages in merely subjecting its recipient on mindgames to ultimately break his or her heart. Let’s have a look see to ultimately determine which one of these are preferable ultimately in our society.

Part 1: Definitions

In looking at the definition of the two terms alone, we can learn quite a bit.

Slut = A slovenly or promiscuous woman.

I’m going to stop you for a moment, because I would definitively not suggest a slut can only be a woman. Being that that was the first definition that came up, I have clearly shown a double standard in our society – that only woman can be sluts. I disagree wholeheartedly with this suggestion, and would point out various men that engage in said promiscuous activity as well (example: Barney on How I Met Your Mother [earlier seasons]).

Tease = A person who makes fun of someone playfully or unkindly.

In examining mere definitions alone, we can suggest that a tease is more “acceptable” in modern day societal roles. Subsequently, tease wins category 1.

Part II: Benefits

Let’s just examine how many people would supposedly benefit from engaging in activity with either a slut or a tease. In engaging with a slut, the said recipient in the end probably receives some sort of mutual benefit (whether it be sex, making out, an STD, or something of a highly promiscuous nature, both sides in the end benefit quite a bit). Though one side might get more attached than the other, it’s pretty obvious what is happening when you’re engaging in activities with a slut.

Meanwhile, a tease teases you to the point where they make you believe they have either 1) have feelings for you or 2) want to sleep with you. In the end though, as you begin to fall in love with them or fall in a deeper state of lust over them, they ultimately cut you off. Your heart is broken as a subsequent result, and you gain absolutely nothing. So, in determining what kind of group benefits more – it is those that engage with sluts rather than teases, subsequently giving that category a point.

Part III: Character Redemption

Though sluts tend to be younger in a society, teases are preeminent within all age groups. Though you can suggest that cougars are indeed sluts themselves, once you reach menopause or a state where sexual activity is highly undesirable (50+), you’re extremely less likely to engage in said activity. Sluts subsequently I would suggest exist more in high schools and colleges, at a much younger age. As they grow older though, they begin to mature, become less fun, and settle down to ultimately build a family. As a result, their characters are redeemed as they hypocritically tell their kids to not engage in the same kind of behaviors they engaged in themselves.

Teases on the other hand never learn their lessons. They continue to again and again let a boy or girl swoon over them in an effort to maintain said power over them. When the time comes to ultimately make a decision, they either cut the boy or girl off or directly tell the person they’re not interested. Once done with said boy or girl, they move on to leading another person on, eventually breaking the heart of most of the world’s populations. Though they too could be redeemed eventually by settling down, I honestly believe if you start off a tease, you stay a tease. They continue to use their said “power” to flirt their way to the top of the business world, flirt their way to the top of the social ladder, and flirt to their way to as much money as possible. In the end though, they merely will have no feelings for their husbands (more than likely), and only marry for simply money. Subsequently, sluts are merely more acceptable in my book.

In the end, I truly believe sluts are not necessarily engaging in good ethical behavior, BUT teases are more likely to 1) break hearts and ultimately 2) destroy lives). Subsequently, I’d rather play boardgames with a slut than a tease. The end. What do you think?
