I bet people are wondering how I got a free XBOX-360, so I’ll explain it in depth in this blog.
Well, let’s start by saying that. If you really want one, you’re probably better off finding a job and working an odd amount of hours to get this. However, if you’re like me and had to work at a job where you do absolutely nothing (Conference Services – Summer 2009), then this is perfect to make the time go by, and get a certain prize in the process!
The website is “http://www.clubbing.com”. Despite it’s name it’s not “clubbing” in the sense of sweaty bodies rubbing up against one another, but instead Microsoft’s search engine “Club Bing”. In order to win prizes you have to create an account, and you have to be willing to play games for points – and in effect, exchange points for prizes.
To gain points fast without really trying I ended up playing the word games: particularly Chicktionary, Word Slugger, and Spelling Bee. Clicking on one of the games gets me to something like this:
As you can see, I have to unscramble the words to get prizes. So I go to certain website like http://www.anagramssolved.com and type in “AROOUMS” and get this:
I began transferring the answers in, and occasionally run into captchas if I type too fast, such as the following:
Once I finish, I receive a message from the game that pops up that says:
That’s right! A mere 20 points, you say… So how much did an XBOX360 cost?…
56,600 points.
That’s right… Not to mention there is a “1,000 points per day limit on club bing”, so it essentially took 1-2 hours every day all of summer.
If you’re terribly bored this summer, I encourage you to do it. Otherwise, do something constructive with your life. LOL. Bye ๐
PS: I might end up playing more this summer to get a video camera, more games for my XBOX, or a Dell Laptop! Dedication, baby!

LOL ๐ I think I found my new addiction instead of watching season 5 & 6 of nip/tuck this summer!
