As promised, I am now updating you on the remainder of my summer at San Diego. I am currently on the couch of my living room typing this message. Sigh. I am again reminded of partially why I took the summer job in the first place – cause I don’t have a room. It’s okay though, there are starving children in Africa worse off than I am…. But I do have wireless now, that’s definitely a plus!
My last 3 days of Conference Services was actually pretty slow, but fun. For the most part, we drove carts around the whole time going on a joyride, and running some errands. I also got a new cell phone number, ask for it, cause I don’t want spammers messaging me about buying viagra or any male enhancement…. geez.
Closure was necessary to bring the summer to an end there, so we had a goodbye dinner at Red Robin… which surprisingly was filled up with mostly people from the Warren conference Desk. oh, and David still needs to add me on Facebook, wtf! I will miss my apartment mates for the most part – Robert & John Im. Norman left a week earlier cause his summer school ended, and Zach even earlier. I will miss most of my co-workers I met at Conference Services… no need to name names! Especially the ones that cooked for me at some point (Sashineana, Ruby, Yesenia, Eden, Valeria, Dana?etc.)
As this chapter in my life comes an end, a new one continues. My job at Environmental, Health, and Safety will be my sole provider of money in the fall, and that should be quite fun, working at 19 hours a week (mostly posting room signs). Now that I’m back home, I’m ready to rest… for a week later, I move back in. Yeepee.
I’ll be back right before Move-in to chat about my one week at home. Until then, Adios amigos!
