Day 296: Cowboy Boots

Memories were made today as usual. Memories are merely a collage pasted to glue that never sticks unless of course you choose to make it last forever. I’m hoping, based on my past experience, that I am able to hold onto the relationships that are important to me and keep them for the rest of my life.

Memory #1: Going to Phil’s BBQ (for the first time with co-workers from Rise Kohyang)! YAY! What a treat for Trip 108 it was. We also visited the UCSD Bookstore and attempted to get Julian Pie (but failed). However, we succeeded in having a good time overall.

Memory #2: Nathan for you, Boardgames (carcassonne and guillotine) and some nice pillow talk with great high school friends. One in our group might be gone, but the memories will always be there! Here’s hoping we keep in touch as adulthood approaches.

Hold on to what you were, forget what you’re not
The streets were ours that summer, at least those two blocks
Reminisce on those days, I guess that’s OK, you wonder why
Some grow up, move on, close the chapter, live separate lives
The twenty-something confusion before the suit and tie
Strangers become mistakes but those mistakes made you feel alive
Hindsight is vibrant, reality: rarely lit
Memory’s a collage pasted to the glue that barely sticks
