Day 241: Drops of Jupiter

I woke up at 7AM today anticipating the need to lesson plan for a majority of the day. I got through what I planned on covering by 11AM, and subsequently had a significant amount of free time for the rest of the day.

I met up with a wonderful friend in Rosemead, and we went to Target together (mostly for me to be able to develop pictures of my homeroom students). We then ATE ramen at Shen Sen Gumi (this location wasn’t quite as good as Fountain Valley’s), and DRANK boba at Tea Station. Noms.

Coming back from Rosemead, I went to Ralph’s, and encountered a friend coincidentally outside of my house (From San Jose). She and I debriefed and had a very lengthy conversation running the span of about three and a half hours. It’s these meaningful conversations that ensure me I have some great friends (and people) still in my life. I hope I remember the context of who I am as I’m exploring the Cosmos, sailing across the Milky Way, and defining my true identity through all my experiences and conversations with others. My shooting star will come soon enough.

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the Milky Way?

And tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated?

And tell me, did you fall for a shooting star,
One without a permanent scar?
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself?
