I feel like I’m flying without wings now that I completed my first day of training at Rise Kohyang Middle School. How rather ironic that the school mascot are… Phoenixes.
The day went pretty well, as all of my fellow “new teachers” are all super nice (for now). We also got our t-shirts and some candy in a cup. In place of BTSA we have a much simpler teacher induction process which makes me super happy (but requires a 2-year commitment). We also got treated to a free lunch at a pizza place resembling Pieology.
Afterwards I enjoyed watching the 2016 Republican Candidates “Voters First Forum”. I wanted to “inform” myself on the position of 14 of the 17 major Republicans running for President. Sadly there’s only one I can even consider supporting, but even then, he’s not his father. :'(
Tomorrow: Classroom Management Training and bowling (team-building).
