Not really. Seeing as I haven’t really blogged in a while, I think it’s time for an extended update. Let’s start by dishing out some blog stats! As much as I would want people to, nobody really reads my blog. Even looking at it from a statistical point of view, most of the people that read my blog are probably bots/machines that spam people’s pages (although, I’m not sure if WordPress inc. has to way to prevent that from happening). Regardless, here are some interesting figures to skew your brain around:

Looking at it from this figure, I must be doing something right, because my blog stats have gone up approximately every month (with a slight dump in July where I only had one blog post). If I can keep it up, maybe in a year I’ll reach 1000 hits per month (yeah right….)

OKAY, enough of that! No more statistics :). After all I’m a communications and history major, for goodness sakes, so let’s talk about that first…

I already registered for classes, but I’m pretty sure from the period in between now and fall I’m going to change them. After all, do I really want to take a 9 AM class about Communication and the Environment? Probably not. Come fall, I’ll have 5 classes and probably drop one mid-quarter so I would only have to worry about 4. Currently set I’m taking 3 communication classes (mobile communication and disability communication) indefinitely staying intact, and 1 history class, which I may or may not drop. In other words, 3 comm/1 history class might end up changing to 2 comm/3 history classes when fall quarter comes! EHH, oh well. My summer schedule is pretty much intact for now though, which I will disclose at a later date.

TV NEWS:

The 24 series finale the other day was anti-climatic to say the least, simply due to the fact that a movie’s in the works as we speak. It felt more like a season finale than a series finale, but I say that’s partially due to the fact that a movie’s going to happen. AND NO, JACK BAUER LIVED SO IT WON’T BE A PREQUEL :).

American Idol. Lee Dewyze, as I have correctly predicted won! For the last 5 seasons I have wanted the male singer to win (and technically I knew Blake Lewis had no real chance of winning so my predictions were correct mostly).

Taylor Hicks –> Blake Lewis –> David Cook –> Kris Allen –> Lee Dewyze (5 white guys).

Glee has 2 more episodes this season, 1 of which is on Finals Work. UGH WTF MAN. I will take a break from studying to watch it! Rachel Berry! In other news, it got renewed for a third season, when the first season’s not even over yet! HELL YES! I hope it doesn’t leave a huge cliffhanger until fall, cause that’s a long wait! Oh well! Hell’s Kitchen & Big Brother Return this summer – two of the only shows I watch in the summer actually.

LIFE. I still haven’t received a response from Student Legal Services, but I’m relatively positive I butchered the interview. Eh, that’s life, so I won’t be very surprised if I receive a rejection call/email from them. After all, if Lambda Chi Alpha, Camp Kesem, and Warren Res Life and Warren College Student Council can do it, why can’t they? Somehow, something tells me my future ISN’T in Law, although if it’s not I’m not exactly sure where to go from here. Marketing? Advertising? We shall see…. I’ll try to figure out and finalize plans for post-grad-collegiate education this summer.

In other news, this month I witnessed the final straw in the deterioration of the Stewart 4th floor family that we worked so hard to construct last year. Although I’m still friends with everyone in the group (except Austin West), it’s never going to be the same as it was. Everyone, including myself, has new friends now. And if there’s a time that I was ever massively disappointed in 416, it was Monday night. The straw that broke the camel’s back. Oh well. Even with the destruction of that floor family, I felt the family I made with Programming @ Warren this year has been amazing. Everyone in the organization is amazing, and it’s surprising how much we’ve bonded over programming, and things like beach bonfires and boardgames. These are the kinds of friends that I will look back in 10 years and be happy that I had. Hopefully we don’t grow apart as 4th floor did this year. I’m being blunt here, but honest. Causes of floor family deterioration: 1) Distance 2) Alcohol 3) Faulty or somewhat faulty crushes.

Whatever the case, I plan to preoccupy my time wisely next year in consolidating the friendships I have, developing new ones, and trying to discover my future ultimately! GOOD NIGHT ALL 🙂
