I know I said I was going to keep you all updated on my summer, but I just haven’t been in the mood to “blog” about my summer. What can I really say, after all – that you don’t already know? To reiterate my summer, I’ve been working my two jobs at UCSD Conference Services, checking people in, and surfing facebook 90% of the time, as well as my other job at Environmental, Health, and Safety. Both jobs pay very well for the level of work they require (hardly any). In retrospect, I was glad I took the two jobs because in comparison to what I did last year (At Popeyes), I was miserable. Unlike last year, I actually talk to my co-workers and get along with a majority of them this time! We even do things together, like watch tv…. cook dinner… or go bowling (I went once, and boy do I suck!). In a typical day at Conference Services I usually would have nothing to do. But enough of that! Apartment life has been pretty good this summer – I lived most of the summer with Robert, John Im, Norman, and Zach. Why are there four people?! Simple! One person is living in the living room, who will not be named, but he’s quite entertaining and he drives me to Ralph’s and places. I really don’t mind him being there. Zach left already, since he actually finished Summer Session I, and ever since then we never really got a new roommate.

So, Valerie and Robert, I propose to go see District 9! The movie with all the Africans (but more importantly, the aliens!). Yay, hopefully the movie will be as good as the preview shows it to be. If not, screw life!!!!

Anyway, I’m at work right now blogging, when I probably shouldn’t be. But who’s there to stop me?! I Should probably pick up where I last left off… my laptop has been fixed! But I have a feeling since it’s an HP it will deterioriate to the breaking point and self-destruct next year. Sigh. One can only hope! I also lost my Ipod Nano (The one I got for free on the Internet, if you recall). Sigh. That’s not as depressing as going into the beach water in it cause of a girl, but it’s still pretty damn depressing! What have I been doing on a daily basis all summer in my free time, you’re probably wondering. I don’t really know. Time goes by really fast in the summer, especially when you’re working approximately forty hours a week. I zipped through the first 6 seasons of Beverly Hills 90210, but finally stopped casue the plot inevitably got contrived and dull (in my opinion anyway). I never really liked Brenda Walsh or Dylan McKay or Andrea Zuckerman… but when the characters went to college, it all seemed they changed way too much – their storylines becoming way too annoying, and their personalities standing out in a very negative light. I’ve also been playing at a website called ClubBing.com trying to earn points to get an XBox 360. Eventually I’ll get there, but I think they took it off their website as a prize. Oh well, I’ll still keep playing, hopefully they’ll put something in it’s place that’s equally as desirable that I would ultimately want. Anyway, I’ve also been playing Texas Holdem Poker online. I must say I am an addict. I won about 300k one night, but then lost it all by foolishly going all in. Why the heck did I do that?! Sigh. Oh well.

In other news, I am going back home today! At approximately 2, cause my brother’s wedding is tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll be fun, and she’s not just using him for a green card. Shrugs. But I’ll keep you on updated on that as soon as it happens. Hopefully I’ll post up pictures too, most likely… That would mean, I’m going home the first time in eight weeks! Not as if I’d have time to see all my friends… considering I have to go back Sunday night cause I have work Monday morning :(. Oh well. Only 5 more weeks, and then I’m free. “Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty we are free at last!”

Jonathan Chou – We still need to catch up this summer, if you’re going to be rooming with me next year! John Torres, you still need to meet him. Hopefully we can all plan a get together of some sort. Lunch? With Leah and Ryan both taking summer session, I’m sure an opportunity will eventually present itself to us.

In retrospect, I feel secure in my two jobs, and I hope to garner some sort of internship level position next year. I’m going to be scouting around next year, maybe sure I get a cool internship. If necessary, I’ll work my way up, and eventually own Fox Broadcasting Company! (hehe… one can dream). With my Environmental Health, and Safety job being viable and secure, I can afford as much Tapioca Express as I want next year, without worrying about burning a hole through my wallet! All I can say is it that it feels greatttttt to have money. What doesn’t feel great though is cooking (when you don’t know how to make), making microwavable food and sandwiches all the time, and eating noodles. Sigh. only 5 more weeks and then I can look forward to eating meals at Canyon Vista …… (dot dot dot). Or not. Hopefully Howard, Torres, or Chou know how to cook next year. I’m sure Rhodes, Russell, Song, Perez, or Dalton might know as well however.

Television News! Paula Abdul is off American Idol. Thank goodness. She is so annoying. and Now apparently greedy, and a diva. Who is she to think she contributes that much to the show that she’s going to even affect the ratings in anyway? My predictions? Ratings will actually go off. I’m sure plenty of people were turned off by the fact that she was high off something half the time, and she gave really stupid comments that had nothing to do with singing ability. All the show needs to survive at this point is Simon. Randy & Kara are pretty much expendable at this point. As far as Ryan Seacrest goes, if you’re going to replace him, make sure the host is as good a voice projector. If not, no. I’ve also been tuning into Big Brother 11 this summer. My favorites? Jeff, Jordan, and Michelle. I couldn’t stand Ronnie and am glad he’s gone. With Jeff wining the power of Coup D e’tat as granted by America, he will probably overthrow Chima’s nominations and put Jessie and Natalie up. One can only hope. I hope he ends up winning, but it’s going to be definitely a long shot. I was definitely disappointed when Mike Boogie, Maggie, & Evel Dick won the show. But the fact that Dan won last year gives me hope that the best definitely can win the game still!

That’s about all I can think of to say for now. Until next time, I’ll see you soon!
