I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to work with these wonderful set of students in the Dale Senate for the 2022-2023 school year. Many of these students are in Honors classes, and so I don’t always get the opportunity to see them shine in the classroom. But seeing them in the Senate, they all brought their A-game and were instrumental in shaping potentially a changing of Lancer time forever at Dale Junior high.
With a little more time, I would have spent next year making the Senate even better, and refining the election and decision-making process. But I’m grateful for this one opportunity to improve Civic Engagement in the school, resulting in the winning of the Civic Learning Award of Excellence.
The senators all were very happy with their end of the year letters. Can’t wait to see my student’s reactions next week when they get theirs. It’s always a pleasant surprise for even the worst of kids.
