What qualities make up a good best friend? Certainly not what Breeana Monroy has to offer.
That being said, we are very similar people at least in terms of the characteristics we share and the people we choose to surround ourselves with. Whereas she lacks in decision-making she makes up in complaining about food choices.
I asked her what qualities are good in a best friend, and she simply replied people that will stick with her no matter what, who are morally good people. Although I have had a dark past full of many bad moments, I, like Jean Valjean, have a pretty stellar moral compass being able to separate right from wrong. I hope she can recognize that in herself and continue to make the right choices to steer her life path towards one of compassion and friendliness.
I hope her passion for Les Miserables continues so as I outlive her. I still remember the first time I watched that movie in theaters, and the subsequent five other times I paid to rewatch it – it was truly a life-changing event. Almost as life-changing as the day I met Breeana. Since that day, I have raised her out of darkness, and I have saved her soul for God. Here’s hoping our friendship stands the test of time, she remains unchanged in her moral compass, and she figures out what she wants to do for the rest of her life.
