I just finished binging season 4 of Black Mirror. Each episode is pretty lengthy and so each episode feels like its own movie in a way. Here’s my quick thoughts on each episode, without spoilers.
USS Callister: Intriguing concepts and intertwining tropes from 80’s television shows makes this a must see episode. 4/5
Arkangel: How much is too much parental control? Imagine being able to see everything your children see. A scary future, perhaps, but a necessary one. 4/5
Crocodile: What could drive somebody to kill? This episode wasn’t that great. 3/5
Hang the DJ: An interesting look at using a dating app to guide your entire love journey throughout life. The best episode of the season. 5/5
Metalhead: Lots of action, but not much substance. 3/5
Black Museum: Three interesting subplots help make this as interesting as White Christmas, but nearly as memorable. 4/5
I still recommend this show to everyone, despite it not being for the faint of heart for its dark and depressing overtures.
