Day 5: Opinions of a 16 Year Old

Anjella Manucat is one of my students from my first year of teaching at Cram Middle School, and someone I will never forget.

Topics I received from other students at my school.

What really is love?

As a 16 year old, I don’t have much experience with love, but with what I know I can say

love can be defined in many ways depending on the stage of life that the person is in. There are two different types of love; temporary love and permanent love. Both temporary love and permanent love can have the same value; but what is different is the amount of time that that love is shared. The types of love can also be converted to another; while you believed that the love will be permanent it can change to being temporary.

World becoming technological

It is a blessing and a curse. Technology is a thing you can not avoid, it is found anywhere you look today. It is in our cars, streets and hands of millions of people around the world. Having easy access to information in a simple touch allowed advancement in medical such as in surgical procedures. However, because of how far we become, many people lose touch of communication with REAL PEOPLE. Kids are more into video games and their phones instead of actually experiencing life.

School system

Depending on where you are, school can be a pain in different ways. My school in particular is focused on a specific career path. My career path for the four years of high school is Biomedical. While it is a great school that I’m glad I got accepted in, I spend most of my days stressed about school. Everyday I spend 6 hours at school to then go home and spend 5-8 hours on studying and homework and on the weekends as well. It is quite draining and seems like I’m wasting my time away in front of a computer doing thousands of assignments.

The real world

Thanks to school, I can go on and on about the different systems of the body and how they work but I cannot say one thing about taxes or finance or how to change a tire. I am two years away from going off to college and living by myself and it’s quite scary.

Four words that can describe this topic:

  1. am. not. ready. :/

Mr. Tran

I can’t be a guest on his blog without giving my opinion on him. He is horrible, the worst person ever, if it was an alternate universe where everything was opposite. (:

Mr. Tran is an amazing teacher and friend. Not only was he there for his students academically but personally. He would always push me to be my best and would always go out of his way to make sure his students are alright. (except for that one bad apple that stole his flash drive) I didn’t think that one of my teachers and mentors that I only had for a semester would in the end become my friend. I hope you are doing great Mr. Tran on your new endeavours.
