By far the coolest (and oldest) teacher at our school, Colin Yamashita is an inspiration to us all. It only took a year for him to get promoted from a dumb PE teacher to a smart science teacher. It only took him another year to get promoted from a dumb science teacher to a smart grade level chair.
His capabilities are endless, resulting in one of the greatest videos ever produced, the RKMS Lip Dub. As dumb as some of it is, the effort was well worth it, resulting in a beautiful video of epic proportions.
I look up to Colin quite a bit due to the fact that he can handle everything our school throws at him with such poise. I’m also always relatively surprised when someone can simultaneously manage the workload at our school while juggling a marriage, as well as kids.
The best part is how cool Colin is though. Every time I walk into his room there is either kids eating popcorn or nice music playing. At the end of the day, most of the teachers at our school will be forgotten by our students. Nobody would dare forget Colin Yamashita, the true TOTY, and DJOTY.
Today we matched in outfits which was quite nice, but I will never match him in coolness.
Here’s hoping his dreams come true and his second marriage is the one that will last forever. I also hope he becomes principal one day, and makes Rise Kohyang Middle School great again.
